Dear Franklin families,
What a week! We are so grateful to everyone for your grace and patience as we worked through a crazy first week of school. There were so many highlights – we had amazing first day attendance, we’ve distributed over 450 Chromebooks to students, and we welcomed many students for safe and fun in-person Crew.
And we know there were challenges also! We were all busy helping students and families find their way to classes online, try to make sense out of the crazy PowerSchool schedules, and work through technology challenges. We appreciate the hard work our families are putting in to help get this year off to a running start.
This week, we begin our “normal” Plan C schedule. Students and families should receive a weekly email from your grade level teachers. These weekly emails will give you a road map for the week ahead. Please remember that the schedule you see in PowerSchool is not the schedule we are following right now! Unfortunately, the PowerSchool program cannot manage all the different schedules schools have been required to create this year. We know this is confusing. When in doubt – check in with your Crew leader, and trust the schedules from your teachers.
Weather permitting, we look forward to welcoming grades 11 and 12 for their On Site Crew this Wednesday. 11th Grade On Site Crew will be from 9 – 11 am, and 12th Grade will follow from 11:15 am – 1 pm. Masks are required – come prepared for outdoor activities.
We know it is hard to keep track of all the information right now, and we’ll keep trying to consolidate things for you. Please continue to reach out if you are running into challenges, and let’s keep working together for a successful school year.
