Allison Sturtevant-Gilliam (she/her) is a collaborator, lover of big ideas, and mama to five phenomenal beings. She deeply believes in community and the shared responsibility of cultivating a world in which the next generation thrives. Allison knows that the school environment has a significant impact on the lives of whom it serves and desires to contribute to FSI being a source of inclusion, belonging, and liberation for students, their families, and staff.
Allison has worked as a Social Worker in social systems for the last 17 years with a focus on child welfare. Allison believes that embracing a shared understanding that the natural responses to stress, trauma, and oppression gives context to individual and communal actions and strengthens connection within communities. Allison’s passion lies in shifting the social support system to be trauma responsive, racially just, and resilience focused. As a trainer, facilitator, and consultant with Murmuration Consulting, she brings the message and tools of healing, equity, and change to families, professionals, and organizations.
