Hannah Allen joined the Franklin community in 2016 as the middle school Literacy Lab teacher. She is passionate about fostering a knowledge of and love for literacy in all her students, particularly with regards to discovering and developing their taste for reading and their voice as writers.
Prior to coming to FSI, Hannah taught various age groups from toddlers to adults in various subject areas, including ballet, outdoor adventure skills, English as a Foreign Language, and Russian language. Additionally, she worked for a year as a character and folk dancer in Moscow, Russia, and has completed a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Meredith College and a Masters in Education from Marymount University.
