Martha joined our team in August 2021 as the coordinator for our Beyond the Bell Afterschool programs and enrichments here at FSI. She also is a 7th grade Crew Leader, which you’ll hear her say is the best part of her day. She brings more than 8 years of afterschool and summer day camp program management experience and working with our youth and families throughout Buncombe county. Martha received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Journalism, with an emphasis in advertising and public relations, from the University of Arkansas. She moved to Asheville on whim on her 25th birthday and has called Asheville home for the last 15 years, and she’s proud of earning that “local” Asheville badge! In her free time, Martha enjoys playing in the great outdoors, listening to live music, and hanging out with friends!
