Tammy is a founding member of The Franklin School of Innovation. She currently teaches 6th grade Exceptional Children (EC). She has taught 5th, 6th and 7th EC students during the first 7 years and has coached the M.S. Volleyball team throughout her teaching career. Tammy graduated from the University of Northern Kentucky. She has been teaching for 14 years and transferred to Asheville from Ripley, Ohio where she also taught students with disabilities. Tammy is dedicated to the success of all students that involves an interactive approach between the school, families and the community.
In addition to teaching, Tammy is an eight year veteran of the US Army which took her many places along the east coast and Germany. Originally from Pensacola, Florida she enjoys returning to spend time with her family. She has one son who lives in NYC and also enjoys visiting. In her free time you can find her traveling, playing volleyball, paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking and playing with her rescue cats Ashe and Storm.
