Enrolling students in grades 5 – 12
The Franklin School of Innovation is a nonprofit, tuition-free public charter school authorized by the state of North Carolina. As a charter school, Franklin is open to all students who qualify for enrollment in North Carolina Public Schools. The school does not discriminate against any student on the basis of gender, race, color, religion, national origin, age, or disability.
How to Apply
The Franklin School of Innovation enrollment lottery for the 2018-2019 School Year will be held on April 12, 2018. If you are interested in applying for the 2018-2019 school year, we will begin accepting applications on January 8, 2018. Only one application may be submitted for each student applying. The Franklin School of Innovation utilizes SchoolMint, an online enrollment program to manage applications and our waitlist.

- All applications will be added to the waitlist for the corresponding grade in the order they are received. If there is no waitlist for the grade you are applying to, you will be notified that you have received an enrollment slot.
