in the education field for 18 years. I graduated from WCU with my Masters in Social
Work, specializing in school social work.
I have had the honor to work in a variety of settings and roles through the years. I
started as a mental health therapist in Haywood County. I moved into a graduation
coach and career college readiness coach at an alternative high school, where I later
became the school director. For the last 3 years I have been a School Social Worker
and high school counselor in Haywood County.
I am passionate about incorporating motivational counseling with students which will
offer meaningful encouragement for personal growth, resilience, and healing. I also
incorporate play therapy, TBRI techniques, mindfulness, and CBT in my counselor work.
Outside of school, I enjoy hiking with my family and 3 pups (Zeppelin, Riya, and Taco),
listening to live music, traveling anywhere and everywhere, dabbling in interior design,
and I love the challenge of new things.
