Elizabeth Golini-Walker
Elizabeth Golini-Walker has spent the last decade teaching students to analyze patterns in the world and within themselves. In her experience leading students both in and out of the classroom, Elizabeth has guided students to celebrate and harness individual skills to work together and achieve a common goal. She especially enjoys encouraging students to think beyond perceived boundaries by designing cross-curricular topics that illuminate contemporary issues.
Elizabeth has previously taught English and History; she has taught in Asheville at French Broad River Academy for Girls and St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School, a private school in Sewanee, Tennessee. During the 2023 – 2024 school year, she was acting Assistant Director of Spiritual Life at Warren Wilson College, teaching First Year Seminars and supervising a work crew. Elizabeth has also led domestic and international outdoor adventure trips with Moondance Adventures, an adventure travel company serving youth with a focus on sustainable outdoorsmanship, teaching responsible habits for conservation and stewardship of our environment.
Elizabeth grew up in Alabama, attended Sewanee: The University of the South and Middlebury’s Bread Loaf School of English, and has lived in Asheville for the past seven years. She enjoys playing guitar, mountain biking, reading and writing, and hanging with her wife and daughter. She’s super excited to be a part of the FSI team!
