Holly Fink

Holly comes from a long line of educators who instilled in her a passion and care for building meaningful relationships with and inspiring a love of learning in her students. Originally from Colorado, Holly earned her undergraduate degree in Anthropology and Sociology from Colorado State University. Holly has always been guided by service to her community believing that the best way we can learn more about ourselves is through the work we do alongside our friends and neighbors. After graduation from Colorado State in the midst of a global pandemic, Holly found her way to Asheville through her first service term with AmeriCorps NCCC. Through this first AmeriCorps year, she fell in love with the Blue Ridge mountains and decided to call Asheville home. Her second AmeriCorps term took her to a small private school in West Asheville where she served as a volunteer for a year before coming on as an assistant teacher. Holly is in the process of obtaining her Master of Arts in Teaching from North Carolina State University. She loves teaching middle schoolers and is so excited to be a part of the 7th grade team at Franklin. She hopes to instill in her students the same appreciation for the power of service to others that guides her own life, as well as the joy of reading a good book.
