Kim Burke
Kimberly Burke joined the Franklin faculty from Asheville High School, where she served for three years as a permanent substitute in PE as well as the Head Girl’s Basketball Coach and Assistant Boys’ Basketball Coach. Prior to coming to Asheville, Kimberly spent several years in the collegiate environment and as a High School lead English teacher and basketball coach.
Kimberly brings a passion for educating students on the importance of physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle. A lifelong athlete, she exemplifies the value of persistence, collaboration, ethics, and action. A certified PE teacher, Kimberly obtained her BA from Niagara University where she was a member of the women’s basketball team and the University Student Athlete of the Year.
