Michele Roberts
Michele is super excited to be a New Bolt! She comes from Eastern NC as an Educator with 27+ years of experience, the last 15 with Exceptional Children in the Middle School. A graduate from ECU and UNC-G, Michele wants to keep exploring how other schools operate. She may have found her "niche". So many of her desires for students and staff are aligned with the design and culture of FSI.
In the summer of 2025, Michele attended NCOBS Educator's Initiative with several FSI Crew members and it changed her life in NUMEROUS ways. These positive changes have impacted her life inside and outside of school, every single day. The EL Learning model is amazing. The sense of community felt is comforting, being far away from home.
Outside of school, Ms. Roberts has a wonderful son (25) and daughter (22), a long-time partner, and two dogs way over yonder in Eastern NC. She looks forward to doing activities with them in the area, as well as reconnecting with old friends. Ms. Roberts enjoys hiking, fishing, bird watching, boating, and has started a BOOK about her New Adventure!
