Riley Tickle
Riley Tickle is excited to be teaching freshman English at FSI. Having been a former student at FSI she embraces the EL philosophy with enthusiasm. She has experience working with college students in special needs programs at Appalachian State University where she attended her undergrad. Riley had the privilege of student teaching 9th and 12th grade English at Hendersonville Highschool while she earned her Masters in teaching from NC state. Riley has always had a joy for reading and studying the world around her. Growing up in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains, the outdoors have always been an important part of her life. Hiking, skiing and drawing are favored pastimes, as well as tending to her fish and many plants.
