Connor Dalton (they/them) is a performer, voice teacher, and director that was born and raised in Asheville. In addition to teaching 6-7th Music and High School Theatre at FSI, they are the Director of Voice at the Asheville Performing Arts Academy. As a music director Connor has worked on shows such as Hadestown: Teen Edition, Beetlejuice Jr, The Lightning Thief, Annie, Beauty and the Beast, and Seussical.
Before starting a career in education, Connor worked as a professional opera singer across the US, England, and Italy. Operatic highlights include: Marcello (La Boheme), The Zombie (My Days as a Zombie on Earth *World Premiere), Joseph de Rocher (Dead Man Walking), Count Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro), Giovanni Belletti (Barnum’s Bird *UK Premiere), and Papageno (Die Zauberflote). Connor earned their Masters in Performance in Voice from The Royal College of Music, London, under the tutelage of Peter Savidge and Roger Vignoles OBE.
