As a school founder and Executive Director, I thank you for your interest in joining the team at The Franklin School of Innovation. We are so excited for our 13th year building an innovative and inclusive school serving our thriving community in the Blue Ridge Mountains. After making the most of temporary buildings, we are thrilled to have settled into our permanent facility. In addition to beautiful classrooms, we can now host home athletic games in our gym and turf field. We are also very proud to have earned the full EL Education credential, celebrating years of commitment to our educational model recognizing student achievement in three dimensions: Mastery of Knowledge and Skills, Character, and High Quality Work. We have a solid foundation in place for continued growth and improvement!
Franklin is an EL Education school, a whole school model that recognizes that rigorous academics are best supported when enhanced with strong character development. At Franklin, our program focuses on six “Habits of Scholarship”: Leadership, Collaboration, Persistence, Inquiry, Ethics, and Action.
