Paul is originally from White Lake, New York but spent most of his childhood growing up in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Scranton High School in 2001, and spent time exploring the West Coast while living in Big Bear Lake, California teaching snowboarding. After moving back to Pennsylvania he spent time working as a carpenter for six years before getting married and relocating to Asheville in 2010. He decided to continue his education and earned a Bachelor’s of Social Work from Western Carolina University in 2013.
After discovering his passion for working with adolescents, he joined the FSI family as an Exceptional Children’s Assistant in 2018 and began working towards his Special Education: K-12 General Curriculum certification. He was brought on as an Exceptional Children’s Teacher at FSI in 2020 and is excited to continue his work with the amazing students, families, and staff at Franklin.
He lives in Asheville, with his wife and three children who love to be outdoors hiking, playing disc golf, traveling, camping, seeing live music and taking advantage of all the amazing opportunities Western North Carolina has to offer.
