I have proudly been a part of the transportation team since March 2020. I first started driving a bus in 2002 and it’s been a job that I have loved very much and continue to enjoy. I love being the first face that kids see in the morning and being the last face they see in the afternoon. I think all children are a gift and each one has a potential to succeed in anything they put their minds to. I can only hope that I can impact a child for them to know that this world is a better place just because they are in it! Also, in the summer months when school is out of session you can find me on the French Broad River, driving customers to the river to go tubing for the local tubing company here in Asheville, Zen Tubing.
I am from the Candler area and have lived here all my life, graduating from Enka High School. I have three girls who keep me very busy with the Chorus, Cheerleading, Softball and Basketball programs in the Enka Community. In my spare time I thoroughly enjoy putting together Diamond Art Pieces, specializing in Remembrance Art. Although I cannot bring their loved one back, I can, however, bring them back on canvas, I get a lot of pride giving a finished piece to a customer. I feel like it’s a great way to honor the loved one.
