Beth Russo is the Executive Director of Eblen Charities, a nonprofit organization that serves Western North Carolina residents through providing financial assistance in times of crisis to help with medical, energy, housing and other emergency needs. Her work history includes service at other nonprofit organizations serving WNC, including Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity and Homeward Bound, as well as teaching in the Wilderness Leadership and Experiential Education program at Brevard College.
Beth has two sons at FSI, both in high school – one graduating in 2022 and the other in his freshman year. Her interest and belief in experiential education and the expeditionary learning model helped her select FSI for her children. She has advanced degrees in Outdoor Education and Administration and Counselor Education and a BA. in Psychology. She lives with her husband, 2 children and a large assortment of animals in Leicester.
