Jon Blalock is the Director of Adapted Programs at Christmount in Black Mountain, NC. The primary programs that he oversees are Camp Lakey Gap, for autistic children and adults, and Sunshine Retreats, for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. He is a Recreation Therapist and holds a national certification and state licensure in this field. Jon also spent many years studying and specializing in supporting people with autism and their families through his work at the Asheville TEACCH center as an autism specialist, and is a Certified TEACCH advanced consultant. In addition to his work as a program director, Jon sometimes works with people on the autism spectrum as a skills coach and provides support and consultation to their families and the systems around them.
When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and their dog; playing, recording, and editing music, and spending probably-too-much-time playing video games.
