Becca Reinstein was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts and has dual citizenship with France. She grew up in a bilingual household, and enjoys learning about different languages and cultures because of that. She found the joy of community, cooperation, and learning new things at her summer camp, which she had attended from age 3-15. Becca continued her time at summer camp as a lifeguard and swim instructor starting at the age of 16. It was then that she discovered her joy and strength for working with children. A daughter of two teachers, she knew that she would follow suit and become a teacher herself.
Becca received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and English for Speakers of Other Languages along with a minor in Urban Education from the University of Delaware in 2021. Looking for an adventure, she moved to Asheville following graduation and has never looked back. Becca worked as a 3rd and 4th grade teacher at a small private school in Asheville for four years. There, she created and taught lessons that catered to all types of learners, neurotypical and neurodivergent. During her time there, Becca rediscovered her love of ELA the Humanities through creating hands-on activities that were accessible for 1st-4th grade students. Becca worked as a camp counselor during the summer creating engaging programs for children between the ages of 4-10. In May 2024, Becca received her Master’s Degree in Special Education: Mild to Moderate Disabilities from Western Carolina University.
When Becca is not teaching, she is reading a good book, hiking through the Blue Ridge Mountains, or trying new places to eat around Asheville. She is grateful to have found The Franklin School of Innovation and is eager to begin this next chapter in her career!
