Bryan is in his fifth year teaching English, and his first year at FSI. He holds a B.A. in Journalism and Creative Writing from UNC-Chapel Hill and an M.F.A. in English and Creative Writing from the University of Maryland. Prior to arriving at FSI, Bryan spent the past three years teaching college writing, English literature, and creative writing at UMD. The quickest way to his heart is a strong cup of coffee and a new book of poems! When Bryan isn’t teaching, you can find him writing, reading, playing basketball, or working with local youth poets. He is so happy to join the wonderful Bolt family here at FSI!
