Born and raised in Candler, Donna graduated from WCU where she completed her BS and MSA in Education and MPA in Municipal Management. She retired in 2018 after 31 years as a teacher and principal. Working with students most at risk is her passion-and life’s work, educating middle school through adult age students.
After retirement, Donna is currently enjoying part time work in security at the Biltmore House and driving a bus. In the coming school year, Donna will start full-time at FSI as Title I Coordinator and tutor. She is active in her church (HBC) where she serves as Deacon, choir member, church clerk and on the security team. An active volunteer, she enjoys working with Habitat for Humanity, Candler Elementary School and RITI.
Donna is married and has one son and loves to spend time with family and friends. Spare time is spent reading, playing golf and traveling.
