The 2024-2025 school year will be Nicholas’s fifth year in the classroom. He started his educational career in McDowell county, teaching 6th grade ELA. More recently, he taught 10th and 11th grade English in Buncombe county. Nicholas was born and raised in the great state of Minnesota, and graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2020, with a Bachelor of Arts in English, and a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Teaching Communication Arts and Literature. Post graduation, he decided to trade the freezing winters for the beautiful mountains of Appalachia. Nicholas believes that the classroom should be a fun and safe space for all students. He loves to show students the joys of English content, and help students discover a passion for reading and writing. In his free time, Nicholas can be found reading a book in the woods, hiking, playing basketball, and enjoying time with friends and family.
