When Hurricane Helene devastated our community last year – we didn’t waste a minute! Within days our school opened to the community, providing free WiFi, electricity, and supplies to anyone in need. When we received the donation of a water filtration system, our students pitched in to share the resource. When we were able to realize a long-held dream of opening a new turf field, we opened it to the community, sharing a space for ABYSA teams to play and gather. This Is How We Crew It!
Crew is more than just a word or 30 minutes during the day. It’s a spirit of giving and belonging that sustains our entire school community. We don’t just talk Crew, We Are Crew!
Public schools like Franklin face unprecedented challenges. Our mission of inclusion and belonging is too often misunderstood. State, local and federal budget cuts threaten our programs, especially things like bus transportation, free meals, high quality afterschool care, and all the clubs, athletics, and arts programming that make us more than just a school.
