Jim Davidson grew up in Flemington NJ, about 15 minutes north of Princeton.
He received a master’s degree in history from Lehigh University, then joined the USMC. After serving, he taught high school history for a number of years, and eventually left that profession to open a construction company which specialized in restoration of barns and old houses. In the late 1990’s he took over his father’s company which dealt in industrial rubber products primarily related to railroads.
But his real love is as a historian. Jim has written four history books, one on NJ local history, and three on various aspects of the 1932 Lindbergh kidnapping. He has lectured all over the NY/NJ metropolitan area on the Lindbergh kidnapping and local history. In his hometown he was the local historian and started a local town museum. Before moving to Candler in 2019, he was on the local high school board for 15 years.
