Sonya is a native to Western North Carolina and has been teaching social studies and AP courses for 12 years. She lives in the Asheville area with her husband and her black cat, Caligula. Sonya enjoys reading, cooking, and travel. She can be intensely competitive at local trivia nights. She’s a bit of a local history nerd, and Asheville is a great place to nurture that passion!
